Excellent kushari!
This is my favorite spot in New paltz for years now. Always fresh, really tasty Mediterranean dishes and other American items as well. Something for everyone.
MoreSimply Awesome!!! Falafel and Tahini, best combination.
delicious quick bites
Amazing falafels!
Incredible food! Some of the best food I've ever eaten!
By far the best of its kind in New Paltz, and in fact, the entire area. Just try their chicken or beef schwarma on a sandwich or with bulgar. Always fresh, tasty, great value for your money.
MoreSurprisingly good food. Not that I expected it to be bad, but the little things really elevate your meal here. Perfectly cooked food.
MoreDelicious authentic Egyptian food, relaxing atmosphere and reasonable prices. We have been going to this restaurant regularly for over 20 years.
MoreAbsolutely the best middle eastern food in the hudson valley,
Friendly staff and good food
My family's favorite spot in New Parts. Great falafel, shawerma, and a lot more. Breakfast, perogies, burgers, it's all here and freshly made.
MoreThe waitress was very helpful in helping me what I can pick from being vegan and on a Lyme Disease diet. The food and atmosphere was enjoyable.
MoreFalafel King of Hudson Valley
Duuude it’s so good. That’s all.
A must if you love Greek food, food was amazing. Service was just okay 🌶
The food is constantly fresh and tasty, cashiers gives fantastic service. I like how clean it is and ambience. I highly recommend this spot.
MoreVery fast food, well prepared. Take out available. Large portions. Baklava not runny or gooey. Friendly staff. Clean place. Choices of sides with sandwiches: fries, soup, salad (no iceberg lettuce; it's mixed greens). Small table seating inside. Credit cards accepted.
MoreThis is the best over the best!!! No word can describe such amazing place. Thanks for your kindness!
MoreExcellent vegan menu. You may have to request it as it’s a separate menu entirely with over a dozen options (!!!). We had a veggie burger like no other- it’s house-made and so authentically flavorful, complete with all the toppings and a crisp salad. We also had 2 platters of finger foods and dips for our warm pita which we enjoyed; actually we were so happy with the creaminess of the hummus that required no animal products! I wanted to request the recipe!! Maybe I’ll just have to go back...
MoreStopped in for takeout after hiking Mohonk preserve.. Tough choice between restaurants in New Paltz but we made the right choice. Delicious food reasonable price
MoreI work locally and on a regular basis we try to order lunch from this restaurant with no success. Either they don’t answer the phone or they aren’t open. This is very inconvenient due to the food being good and usually the whole office is in on the order. I would like a more consistent schedule of when they are open sometimes it says 11 sometimes 11:30 and sometimes they aren’t open at all. Communication is not a plus at this restaurant!!
MoreThe food was amazing, my family and I are vegan/vegetarian and the restaurant had many delicious options for us. The service is good and the servers are friendly.
MoreVery neat and accessible place. They serve generous portions and for affordable rates. I liked the menu a lot and the staff members were super amiable and chatty. Will definitely recommend this place.
Moreok food and the service is minimal
Best falafel in Kingston!
Food is always good been there Manny times !!
When I was a teen I used to come all the way up from Putnam County just to eat the delicious Cuisine at Moonlight Cafe back in the 80's. They still have the best Falafel of all time in my opinion . The quality of their food is as fine today as yesterday. The recipes origin are from Egypt and the owners carefully adhere to the traditional recipes and spicing when preparing the cuisine. You can enjoy the buffet and taste many of the fine dishes Moonlight Cafe has to offer.
MoreDelicious, fresh Mediterranean cuisine with friendly service. Quaint decor and reasonable prices. Highly recommended. Will definitely return.
Moredriven distant miles several times to get to this place for lunch but it's never open. change ur 'open' sign and operating business hours accordingly, wasting people's time.
MoreThis place really does have the best falafel in the world! Everything is made from scratch and truly authentic Mediterranean. We stopped here for dinner on our way upstate and will be coming back on our way home.
MoreOrdered take out from this place. Great food and fast delivery! We ordered kofta and shrimp and it was delicious. Side salad that came with meal was fresh. Highly recommend!
MoreThis unassuming Mediterranean restaurant offers casual fare at reasonable prices.I ordered a falafel wrap on my recent visit, which proved to be fresh and delicious. The service, however, leaves a lot to be desired. From what I could tell there were only two, or maybe three people working, with only one server to cover a half-dozen tables. This arrangement might work during off hours, but during peak dinner time it was less than efficient. While trying to make the best out of a bad situation, my server neglected to bring me basic condiments after several requests, and my attempts to get more water went unanswered. Based upon this experience, I feel like moonlight Cafe would greatly benefit from hiring an additional server so that customers may enjoy the food for what it is.
MoreNot so happy with this experience. We came in, ordered and paid. 30 minutes later, after half a dozen others came and went, we finally got our food. Major complaints were styrofoam containers, unwanted plastic utensils and a plastic bag. No mask, no gloves, either. The two stars are for the food, which was quite tasty.
MoreThe food is good, but the times are questionable. The last two times I came to have lunch they were never open. Just don't plan for it being open for lunch.
Moregreat mediterranean food if you are up for it!
I appreciate the delicous authentic vegan options!!! Absoutley Best falafel around !!
MoreThey were great. Love the milk shakes
Excellent food and service always! Their red lentil soup and falafel is amazing and the food is always fresh and local. Highly recommended.
MoreHad lunch here. I was the only one there, and it was a shame. The falafel was fantastic, the baba ganoush was great, and the gyro meat was amazingly tender. Can't wait to go again!
Morethe food is very good. baklava also tasty
Gyros are awesome, staff is too! When I need a falafel I come to you! Review poetry vol I
MoreLove this place. I've been coming here since 2002. I always bring my friends from out of town here.
MoreGood food. Good service. Clean restroom. It's surprising to find middle eastern cuisine in a small town upstate New York, but it's certainly a good addition to variety of cuisines one can find there.
MoreGreat delicious food, the girl in front was so helpful and the owner as well friendly
MoreWe just ordered from here for dinner first time ever eating their food. I have had plenty of gyros and hummus and falafel before. Which was amazing . But tonight I don’t know what was wrong with the food. We got a hummus with pita appetizer, we also had 2 falafel pitas and a gyro and a beef shawarma.... the hummus tasted like it had something burnt in it. As well as the sauce on the falafel and the shawarma . The gyro was amazing I think it’s something with the tahini that was bad. The French fries and the gyro were amazing. But every thing else we got was just not good due to the tahini sauce they used: I’m so upset I was looking forward to enjoying this food but now I need to go eat something else as we were unable to enjoy it . So sad
MoreBest Middle Eastern food around, hands down. I have had Sharwama in numerous Middle Eastern countries, and cities around the world and theirs is still my favorite. Recommend to anyone looking for a good meal that is not like what you will get in most places.
MoreYummy schwarma, hummus, falafel and more.
The food was not very good. Desert was terribleWe took the chicken shawarma and were disappointed. Also the service was slow, even though the place is empty. Would not reccommend
